Richard Branson will unveil his plans with Brawn GP in Spain

Richard Branson promises to reveal his new intentions regarding Virgin’s sponsorship project with the Brawn GP team at the Spanish Grand Prix.

Virgin has had discussions with Brawn about extending its current contract to potentially become the official sponsor with significantly more decision-making power than currently.

With the current success of the Brackley team, several large companies are expressing interest in securing a sponsorship deal. The Virgin company is therefore obliged to offer the best possible plans.

Branson stated in Bahrain last weekend that he had made an offer to the team, but it is clear that if this financial commitment is outbid by another company, Ross Brawn might take the best offer.

Speaking to Autosport after the Bahrain GP, the British billionaire admitted that Brawn GP’s third win in four races makes things more difficult for Virgin, as their offer might be lower than that of another company.

« We will talk about Barcelona again and we will be sure to let you know the news, » Branson stated on the latest progress of the negotiations.

« Of course, the more the team wins, the more popular it becomes, and consequently very sought after.
