The Japanese team Toyota continues its momentum from the last two Grand Prix as both drivers finish in the points if we do the transcription relative to a race. Indeed, Jarno Trulli is 6th and Timo Glock is 8th.
Note this morning an electrical problem on the Italian’s single-seater, which slightly restricted him in terms of laps, but it was quickly made up for in the afternoon. A good start to the weekend for Toyota, who must now secure its position as runner-up in the constructors’ championship and possibly challenge the almost unbeatable Brawn GP.
Jarno Trulli – 6th and 6th:
« It was a busy Friday for me. This morning, we had an electrical issue that cost us some time, but we made up for the lost time to complete our work program on the setup and tires. The track surface was not in fantastic condition this morning but improved during the day. Overall, I am still not satisfied with the car, its balance, and pace. I hope we can analyze the data tonight to be better tomorrow. Then, our goal is another good result on Sunday. »
Timo Glock – 8th and 8th:
« So far, things are going well for us. The track was very difficult this morning because there wasn’t much grip. During the day, we adjusted a lot of things in terms of setup. The second free practice session was better, and the car was handling better overall. So, we have more work to do to make it perfect for tomorrow. But overall, it hasn’t been a bad start to the weekend. »
