Alpine puts on a show at Le Mans for the GP Explorer
Alpine was present this weekend at the Bugatti Circuit of Le Mans to showcase the V8 of their Lotus E21 F1 car from 2013. Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly were present, along with Victor Martins, from the Alpine program, currently competing in Formula 2.
Alpine sponsors several teams participating in the GP Explorer. Last year already, the French brand was involved in the first edition. This season, Alpine has organized several activities throughout the day, which allowed the many spectators at Le Mans to see their idols, Gasly and Ocon.
For the occasion, demonstrations of two historical F1 cars from the team took place, with Pierre Gasly and Esteban Ocon at the wheel. The Alpine brand also came with numerous A110s, driven notably by Victor Martins, Raphaël Astier, Antoine Leclerc, Margaux Verza, Laurent Hurgon and David Praschl, in order to have carefully selected spectators ride along.
The A110 Pikes Peak was also on display, just back from the American hill climb where it finished on the podium.
Esteban Ocon wanted to congratulate the winner of the GP Explorer and the fans present: “A huge congratulations to Depielo for his exceptional performance. Manon and Depielo have gone through many challenges in recent months in preparation for this unique day and race. They have shown a true team spirit and have exceeded themselves. A big thank you for the warm welcome and enthusiasm of the public towards the Alpine brand. This day will be etched in my memory for a long time.”

Pierre Gasly was also present and also praised this event organized by streamer Squeezie: “I am very proud of the team that I had the chance to coach today under the colors of Alpine. We formed a great team with Djilsi and Theodort, and we had a lot of fun in the preparation without ever losing sight of the sporting objectives and the search for performance on the track. A big thank you also to Squeezie, who created a great event and brought together an incredible French crowd.”
