F1 extends its broadcasting contract with FOX Sport Mexico and Play Sports in Belgium

Owned by Liberty Media, the Formula One Group’s parent company, the Mexican channel FOX Sport will continue to broadcast Formula 1 in Mexico for the next 3 seasons.

Channel as part of the FOX Corp license, FOX Sport has been broadcasting the F1 in Mexico since the 2018 season. The Liberty Media group is also the owner of FOX Sport Latin America.

On the Belgian side, Play Sports, an online bouquet that offers most major sports competitions, has also just extended its contract until 2024. Part of the Telenet group, the media primarily broadcasts throughout Belgium but mainly targets the Flemish population. It remains an alternative to La Une and Tipik. However, please note that only qualifications, races, and sprint races will be broadcast on Play Sports.

Ian Holmes, who is the Director of Media Rights and Content Creation, explained that it is a great time to be a Formula 1 fan. The 2023 season promises even more drama and excitement, so I am happy that Belgian and Mexican fans can enjoy it.
