Olli Caldwell drove with Alpine in F1 in Bahrain as part of the young drivers program

Olli Caldwell is a member of Alpine’s young driver development program. Currently in F2 with Campos Racing, he holds 21st place in the standings with points scored only three times.

“It’s the second time Caldwell was invited to drive an Alpine F1. It’s such a crazy experience to drive the A521 in Bahrain with such beautiful weather. The car is incredible and leaves me speechless, once again. Today, we did over 520 kms with qualification simulations, race simulations, and starts. It’s a special feeling to be back in this cockpit, especially since I already had the chance to get used to it once and I could feel the difference since Silverstone,” explained the young English driver.

Caldwell joined the F2 during the previous season. Therefore, he will finish his first full season in Abu Dhabi. The final F2 event will take place in Abu Dhabi in two weeks, at the same time as the last Formula 1 Grand Prix.
