Jos Verstappen is famous in Formula 1 for having participated in several seasons between 1994 and 2003 and for having stepped on the podium twice. But he is also the father of Max Verstappen, the reigning Formula 1 World Champion and one of the cornerstones of his son’s success.
While the Verstappens will be at home this weekend in Zandvoort for the Dutch Grand Prix, Max, the son, will be racing with a helmet in colors closer to his father’s than those he usually wears in competition.
If the colors are indeed there, it is difficult to find a real resemblance as there are numerous sponsorship contracts on the Dutch driver’s helmet.
A special helmet for Zandvoort and this one is very personal for me
Returning here as a World Champion is a great moment for me to appreciate all the effort my dad put into my career. That’s why we made a new version of his iconic design.
