While the third place seemed to be the best possible outcome for Sainz, this double finish marks Ferrari’s return to the spotlight. Asked about Red Bull’s setbacks and his overtaking of Max Verstappen, the Spaniard spoke out. “On the restart, I had a good chance to pass him but I didn’t succeed, and then I saw the red lights come on behind his car and I thought it was my chance. And then, behind me, I saw that he was no longer there and that he had to retire. It’s unfortunate for him, but things are as they are. It’s good for Ferrari,” declares Carlos Sainz.
