Kimi back with his 2001 helmet in Abu Dhabi
As he is preparing to compete in his very last Grand Prix in the top category of motorsport, Kimi Räikkönen has decided to celebrate the event with a little trip down memory lane.
Purists will surely have noticed it even before its first release from the stands this Friday, it is with a replica of his 2001 helmet that Kimi Räikkönen is preparing to compete in his last Formula 1 Grand Prix.
Although the original design was created by the Arai brand, Iceman will be racing with a Bell helmet this weekend. Despite the change of supplier and its modernization, the famous helmet has not been altered in any way since we can find the original blue, white, and gray colors (among others) as well as Kimi’s famous logo at the top of it.
Setting aside nostalgia, what can the 2007 champion hope for in his final Grand Prix? Without worrying too much about the final result, number 7 will mainly seek to have as much fun as possible in Abu Dhabi, without overthinking it.
« As long as everything goes well during the weekend and I manage to hold on until the finish line on Sunday, I will be happy, » Alfa Romeo driver explained on Canal + microphone.
« I just want to have fun and enjoy myself as much as possible, the result doesn’t matter to me. I think everyone is looking forward to finishing and going on vacation. » concluded Kimi, true to himself.
