Robert Kubica and sponsor Orlen extend their contract with Alfa Romeo
Polish driver Robert Kubica will remain the third driver at Alfa Romeo next season and the oil company Orlen will continue to be the team's title sponsor.
As Kimi Räikkönen and Antonio Giovinazzi leave the team, the trio Alfa Romeo-Robert Kubica-Orlen will continue their partnership for a third consecutive season.
The Pole has expressed himself on this contract extension on his team’s Instagram account. « I am very happy to represent Poland next season, in what is the pinnacle of motorsport, in the company of Orlen. I hope there will be many exciting races in 2022 and above all a lot of emotions. »
Keeping Kubica, who won the ELMS championship this year, probably allowed Alfa Romeo to keep its title sponsor who supports the winner of the 2008 Canadian Grand Prix edition.
We are pleased to extend our successful partnership with Orlen,” said Frédéric Vasseur. Orlen is a immediately recognizable brand in a vast and fast-growing market. They have also proven to be loyal supporters of the team. Their presence underscores and strengthens our commitment to be one of the most attractive teams in sports for international brands.
« The most important thing is that we share a commitment to constant improvement, whether on the track or in their business, and we are determined to continue growing together. Their campaign has been top-notch, they have managed to reach fans across Europe and have expanded access to the team and the world of Formula 1. We are now looking forward to unveiling the next steps of this program,” he concluded.
