Mick Schumacher blames himself after the Brazilian Grand Prix
As he could achieve his best Grand Prix of the season, Mick Schumacher compromised his chances by hitting Kimi Räikkönen's Alfa Romeo. The German wants to learn from it.
Schumacher regrets an avoidable mistake on Kimi Räikkönen while the two Haas could have been close to scoring points early in the race.
« It’s really annoying because we had enough pace to stay ahead of the Williams,” said number 47 on Sky Sports’ microphone. « I think the nature of these corners, going from left to right, pushes us to seek as much space as possible. We touched our tires, which caused a slight oversteer and my front wing touched Kimi. It’s really a shame but, in my opinion, these little negative things are sometimes useful. From now on, I know where the limit is,” concluded the mature German.
This clash is all the more ironic because last Thursday, during a press conference, Schumacher lamented never having had a real opportunity for a duel against the eldest driver on the grid, the latter humorously responding that he could slow down so that the two men could fight.
But if Michael Schumacher probably delivered two of his most beautiful wheel-to-wheel duels against Iceman in Brazil (in 2006 and then in 2012), his son will not keep an excellent memory of his battle with Räikkönen on the lands of Ayrton Senna.
Currently, there are only three Grand Prix races left for the Haas team to try, as best as they can, to score their first point of the season.
