Daniel Ricciardo confirms the date of Cyril Abiteboul’s future tattoo
After having his current boss at McLaren, Zak Brown, tattooed following his victory in Monza, Daniel Ricciardo revealed the date of Cyril Abiteboul's future tattoo.
Arriving at Renault in 2019, Daniel Ricciardo had his former boss, Cyril Abiteboul, promise to get a tattoo in case of a podium finish. After over a year of patience, the Australian finally managed to get on the podium during the 2020 season (twice). But since then, the promised tattoo has yet to materialize. Ricciardo has, however, confirmed that a date has finally been set. “It will happen between the Qatar Grand Prix and the Saudi Arabia Grand Prix,” he cheerfully told The Sports Rushs media. “If there are no changes in the schedule, that’s when it’s going to happen.”
The current McLaren driver has no intention to stop there as he has also decided to tattoo his former employees from Red Bull. « I have to visit Christian (Horner) and Helmut (Marko) to see if they are interested in celebrating the seven victories we achieved together, I have to go through the entire paddock. Can you imagine Helmut with a tattoo on his face? »
If, in terms of performance, Daniel Ricciardo’s season is not the most joyful (the Australian currently trails his young teammate Norris by 44 points), the McLaren driver has not lost any of his sense of humor.
