F1 and NBA team up in Austin
Formula 1 and the NBA will celebrate the 75th anniversary of the American basketball championship and the return of F1 to the United States this weekend.
The two entities will celebrate this partnership by featuring F1 cars in the colors of the National Basketball Association teams. This Thursday, October 21, all the teams in the premier category of motorsport will compete in a free-throw challenge in the American circuit’s paddock. The winner will pocket $20,000, which will be donated to a charitable organization (chosen by the winner).
The United States Grand Prix marks the seventeenth round of the 2021 season. The race will start on Sunday, October 24th at 9 p.m.
