The organizer of the Saudi Arabian F1 Grand Prix, which will take place from December 3 to 5, 2021, the SAMF – Saudi Automobile & Motorcycle Federation, organized the construction of a life-size Formula 1 car out of Lego this week.

Although the purpose of the initiative is to raise funds for a charity: Ehsan, it also aims to change the image of the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, which has not received very good press among the public so far.

The creation of this Formula 1 car in Lego was verified by a bailiff in order to be validated by the Guinness World Records.

It took volunteers 8 days to set up the 500,000 bricks required.

The event took place in a shopping center in the capital, in Jeddah on September 15, and it took volunteers 8 days to set up the 500,000 bricks required to create this green Formula 1 in Lego.

Each brick could be bought on the website of the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix and the profits were therefore donated to the Eshan association. Eshan is an association founded in April 2020 to help people in social, educational, health and economic environments in particular.

« I am delighted to announce the completion of the world’s largest LEGO brick construction of a Formula 1 car – fully approved and certified by Guinness World Records! » confirms Prince Khalid bin Sultan Al-Abdullah Al-Faisal.

« This exciting project was about giving back to our community and reflecting the true meaning and values of progress, innovation, and social responsibility that symbolize modern Saudi Arabia,” he continues.
