AlphaTauri driver, Pierre Gasly positioned himself beyond the limits of his grid slot during this 4th Grand Prix of the 2021 season in Barcelona. He indeed exceeded the planned area by a few centimeters.
The FIA stewards ruled that he was guilty of a breach of article 36.14 of the sporting regulations and therefore received a 5-second penalty during the race, but he also lost 1 point on his driver’s license. He still has 11 points remaining out of the last 12 months.
