Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix: Max Verstappen satisfied with his victory in complicated conditions;
Max Verstappen took his first win of the year at the end of a very lively Grand Prix, which the Dutch driver mastered overall.
The 2021 Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix will be remembered for the multiple twists and turns that took place. In the midst of it all, Max Verstappen managed to come out on top and secure his eleventh career victory.
At the end of the race, the Red Bull driver described a very complicated race today, and notably recounted a scary moment during the race restart after the red flag, where he could have made a mistake. “I tried to hit the gas again, and I was lucky not to spin out,” he said. He then praised the work done by his team in general, which allowed him to win this victory. “We did good work in these complicated conditions,” he said.
With this performance, he goes back to one point from Lewis Hamilton in the championship.
