Geneva Motor Show: Some Presentations Still On
Despite the official cancellation of the 2020 Geneva Motor Show, the organizers announced that press days will continue thanks to streaming. A platform will be made available to unveil some world premieres.
The Geneva Motor Show, which is one of the most anticipated automotive events each year, has officially been canceled by decision of the Swiss federal authorities due to the risk related to the Coronavirus. In a second announcement, the organizers have nevertheless decided to broadcast some world premieres via the Internet, in streaming.
This good news was strongly inspired by internet users. Initially, it was planned that the event would be completely canceled. After consideration, measures were put in place to allow the broadcast of the world premieres live on a dedicated digital platform.
The conferences expected as of tomorrow – Tuesday – at 8 a.m. have mostly already been listed. The day will start with BMW, Seat, AMG, and then Mercedes. Note the announcements from Porsche at 10:10 a.m., followed by Aston Martin.

Note that the press conferences will not necessarily be broadcast live, nor necessarily from Geneva. Some brands, like Alpine for example, will present their new products from showrooms in Paris.
