Slightly eventful day for the Team Lotus today in Singapore. Heikki Kovalainen had to deal with a fire on his T128 - he had already faced a fire at the end of the race last year and had improvised as a firefighter to extinguish the flames. This time it was his brakes that overheated, but that didn't stop him from achieving a good time - just like Jarno Trulli, even though he thinks he can do better.

Studious day for Williams drivers who evaluated the new updates brought by the team, which seem to deliver the expected results, even though the Grove men suffered from issues with the activation of the rear wing during Free Practice 1 and damage to their cars caused by the curbs.

The three HRT team drivers were able to take the wheel today during the two practice sessions in Singapore. Narain Karthikeyan replaced Vitantonio Liuzzi during the first session. And the day was not extraordinary, as the three men occupied the last two places each time.

The Marussia Virgin Racing team could have had a better start to their Singapore weekend. Timo Glock was involved in an incident during the first session - he was hit by Mark Webber, which caused a rear puncture, depriving him of precious track time. As for Jérome d'Ambrosio, things went a bit better even though he damaged his floor while going over a kerb.

Red Bull starts its weekend well. Both drivers placed in the top 5 during both sessions, and Vettel was the fastest in FP2. The German driver could be crowned as early as Sunday afternoon. Webber, on the other hand, needs to improve a bit more to hope to beat his teammate.
