Saturday: Toro Rosso is not fast enough!

Buemi is disappointed with his performance, penalized by the red flag in Q2 while Alguersuari simply did not have enough time to analyze all the tire performances here. In the end, both men save their sets of new tires for the race, which will certainly be an advantage.

Saturday: Toro Rosso is not fast enough!

Sébastien Buemi – 15th and 17th:

I had a bad lap time in Q3. In the first qualifying session, I did a good lap, in 10th place so I was happy but in Q2, I couldn’t stay ahead of our competitors. In fact, we waited quite a while before going out, and just as we went out, the red flag was waved. We had to revise our plans hastily. In the end, I did the Q1 lap time with two tenths more which cost us 4 places… But I’m looking forward to the race tomorrow because at least we’ve saved our tires and it’ll be useful to have new tires in the race.

Jaime Alguersuari – 18th and 18th:

It was difficult for me today, not being greatly helped by the events in free practice 2 yesterday. I lacked data on the tires, which handicapped me a lot because the performance is different here between the hard and soft tires. Moreover, I had quite a bit of traffic in qualifying, and the tires weren’t sufficiently warm. I would have liked to do better, but at least we have good tires left for the race.
