Bruno Senna is a starter for 2 Grand Prix
The Lotus Renault GP team has reportedly only confirmed the nephew of the legendary Ayrton Senna for the races at Spa and Monza.
The Brazilian driver confirmed this afternoon during the press conference organized by the FIA (Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile) that he has been appointed as the main driver by the Lotus Renault GP team for two Grand Prix: « As of now, I am certain of participating in this race (the Belgian Grand Prix, editor’s note) as well as the following one. » This statement theoretically means that Bruno Senna will also be on the grid at Monza in Italy.
However, the rest of his season remains unclear. “I cannot assure you that I will take part in the upcoming races. It’s something I wish for, but I cannot confirm it at the moment,” Bruno Senna stated.
So if Bruno Senna only participates in two events this season, who could occupy the “seat No. 1” of the Enstone team following the Italian Grand Prix? Perhaps the seat will be ready for a freshly crowned Romain Grosjean in GP2, considering that a return of Nick Heidfeld seems very unlikely…
