Kubica will test the Toyota simulator

After a successful final operation on his right elbow last week, the Polish driver may soon rediscover the joys of driving... In the Toyota simulator!

Kubica will test the Toyota simulator

According to the Swiss newspaper Blick, the return of Polish driver Robert Kubica should initially take place within the ultramodern structure of Toyota Motorsport, based in Cologne, Germany.

This choice may come as a surprise given that Robert Kubica’s return is highly anticipated within Lotus Renault GP, the team based in Enstone where the Polish driver was supposed to spend the current Formula 1 season. However, this decision was made with efficiency in mind, as the Toyota Motorsport simulator is considered better than that of the team led by Eric Boullier.

The Frenchman also stated that after this simulator session, Robert Kubica will test a single-seater from the Enstone team this time, an R29 (current F1 tests do not allow the testing of a single-seater less than two years old). Gérard Lopez, the owner of the British team, on his side, reaffirmed seeing the Polish driver return to the team next season. « Currently, we still hope that Robert will race for us in 2012. »

It remains to be seen whether Robert Kubica will be able to quickly return to his best form, in any case, that is what we can wish for him.
