The Formula 1 fan forum was held yesterday in Milan

The FOTA fan forum, which had already been held during the Canadian and British Grand Prix this season, was set up to allow fans of the discipline to get closer to the world of Formula 1 and listen to the key players in the motorsport world.

After listening to the speakers, the fans were able to ask their questions and exchange their opinions in a unique setting created by FOTA (Formula One Teams Association) last year.

The Italian Grand Prix event was held in the Pirelli auditorium, located in a cooling tower restored in 1957, near the company’s headquarters in Bicocca (on the outskirts of Milan).

The free tickets were distributed to the first arrivals. The drivers, managers, and engineers present enjoyed friendly discussions on the major issues of Formula 1. Fans could also count on the valuable input from drivers Nico Rosberg and Jarno Trulli, less than 48 hours before they hit the track on the Italian circuit.

Paul Hembery also spoke to discuss the behind-the-scenes of Pirelli’s three-year tire supply contract and shared his opinion on the influence of tires in the development of future action.

“We are absolutely thrilled to welcome so many passionate connoisseurs to our premises for what was a very pleasant evening. My only regret is that we couldn’t invite more people. It is absolutely vital for the key players in Formula 1 to stay in contact with the public as much as possible, because the fans are the ultimate reason for our presence. Perhaps Formula 1 has somewhat lost sight of this in the past, but this excellent initiative by the teams highlights everyone’s intention to make Formula 1 more accessible than ever, and we are proud to support this,” said the Director of Pirelli Motorsport.

The magazine Gazetta dello Sport, a European sports title, was the official media partner and will offer full coverage of the event, led by F1 journalist Pino Allievi. A global transcript of the discussions is available.
