According to a note from the FIA – International Automobile Federation – Bruno Senna exceeded the speed limit in the pit lane twice during Free Practice 1.

The Brazilian driver was initially fined €3,200 for being caught at over 75 km/h against the authorized 60 km/h. In the same session, he was “flashed” a second time, this time at over 81 km/h. For this repeat offense, he was fined €8,800.

The Lotus Renault driver therefore has a total fine of €12,000 to pay to the FIA.

Michael Schumacher, for his part, receives a less severe penalty as he will have to pay the sum of 400€ to make up for his fault. He exceeded the limit by only 2 km/h.

These are the only drivers who were at fault this weekend. As a reminder, the regulations impose a speed limit of 60 km/h in the pits during practice and qualifying, compared to 100 km/h during the race.
