Withmarsh is eager to discover India

The first weekend of the Grand Prix in India will take place on October 28, 29, and 30. A significant new event that does not leave the small world of Formula 1 indifferent, starting with the McLaren team principal, Martin Whitmarsh: “I expect something exciting to happen there. I believe we are all looking forward to it.” And the Briton adds: “This visit is a first, it’s a country we will discover in F1, so it’s going to be interesting.”

Withmarsh also spoke about his team’s recent performances: “I believe we were strong in Japan and Korea, but Red Bull really did a good job. However, I believe we can perform very well in India, and that’s what we will try to do. I don’t see why we wouldn’t be strong there, but I know that Red Bull will be as well, and that Ferrari will do everything to beat us. It’s the exciting challenge we can expect in India.”

According to the English team principal, we should expect potential surprises for the inaugural Grand Prix in India, as well as a great battle between the historic rivals McLaren and Ferrari.

Recall that the McLaren team is currently in second place in the Constructors’ World Championship with 418 points this season, followed by Scuderia Ferrari with 310 points.
