For Ross Brawn, the layout of the Indian Grand Prix is fantastic

The British engineer and Team Principal of the Mercedes GP team, Ross Brawn, is adamant that the Buddh circuit is fantastic.

Even without having seen a single-seater in action on the brand-new Indian track, Brawn is convinced by the specifics of the circuit: « You can’t be sure of anything until you’ve seen the cars at the start, but the track is fantastic. There is an exciting combination of curves and straights. There is a very long straight and a set of corners that can prove tricky ».

Ross Brawn also spoke positively about the facilities, although criticized by some team members or media: « The facilities are good. I acknowledge that they are barely finished, but we need to understand the situation and not criticize. A big step forward will be made next year regarding the facilities, but this year we need to be tolerant and understanding because ensuring everything is ready has been a huge challenge ».

Finally, the boss of the Mercedes team declared that being present in India was a real pleasure and a true source of excitement.

Let’s hope for him that his team’s results this weekend match his enthusiasm.
