Private Tests – Day 2: Williams and Bottas Impress This Morning

As yesterday, JEV and Bianchi are in the lead. The two French drivers, who undoubtedly drive the fastest Formula 1 cars on the grid, continued to make a good impression this morning.

Vergne is less than 0.2 seconds off his best time from yesterday, while Bianchi has improved by a few hundredths. Surprisingly, Bottas is in third position before the break with a Williams featuring revised aerodynamics.

Fourth, Gary Paffett caused a red flag due to an oil leak on his McLaren-Mercedes. He is currently ahead of Esteban Gutierrez and Sam Bird for Sauber and Mercedes.

More than 4 seconds behind Vergne, Razia completes his first laps of the week with Lotus. He is ahead of Korjus in the LRGP.

Charles Pic, the other Frenchman to be tested this week and finishing last, just 8 seconds behind Vergne in a struggling Virgin. This afternoon, a fourth Frenchman will take to the track: Nathanael Berthon.
