McLaren awarded a trophy in Great Britain

It is true that this year again McLaren has been forced to bow to Red Bull Racing in the battle for the F1 Constructors’ World Championship title. However, the manufacturer can now boast of being recognized as the most prestigious British luxury brand.

This is, in any case, the purpose of the trophy awarded last night to McLaren Automotive at the Walpole Awards, a ceremony that honors British excellence in the field of luxury.

Ron Dennis, former team principal of the Grand Prix team and now CEO of the McLaren Group, personally came to collect the award. On this occasion, he declared: « We are doing everything we can to build a leading company in high-performance vehicle construction and marketing. Being recognized in this way by our prestigious peers is a great honor and shows us that we are heading in the right direction. » A way to pay tribute to all the staff in the company’s road vehicle department and to reaffirm the group’s successful diversification strategy.

McLaren Automotive received the award at the expense of other brands such as Alexander McQueen, Burberry, Boodles, and Mulberry.

No doubt that the racing team will also be eager to make the McLaren name shine at the next Grand Prix in Brazil, the last of the 2011 season.
