Kubica at the wheel of an F10 equipped with a V6 Turbo in June?

Robert Kubica continues to recover from his rally accident that occurred in February 2011, as well as from a more recent fracture. However, speculations about his future are still rife. According to an F1 journalist, Pino Allievi, quoted by James Allen, the Pole is training hard to make a comeback, even though he is unsure if he will ever be able to return to the Formula 1 World Championship.

Kubica’s goal is to see how things will go aboard a simulator and then a real racing car. This could take place around June 2012, according to several Italian sources.

Moreover, according to the Italian site Omnicorse, Robert Kubica could drive a Ferrari F10 equipped with a V6 Turbo – since the F10 dates back to 2010, it is not subject to testing restrictions. This single-seater is expected to serve as a test lab for the development of the 1.6L Turbo V6 Ferrari engine that will be used in F1 from 2014.

Ferrari announced that the first tests of its V6 would take place by the summer of 2012, and it is the Polish driver who could be in charge, allowing him to accumulate kilometers on board an F1. These tests could be a prelude to a future engagement of Robert Kubica in 2013 at Ferrari alongside Fernando Alonso – and thus in place of Felipe Massa.
