Handicap Zero launches the F1 2012 Guide in braille and tactile!
It's now been 10 years since the Handicap Zero association, which advocates for the accessibility of blind and visually impaired individuals, has been publishing a free Formula 1 guide in braille so it can be understood by F1 fans who have lost their sight or are blind. casinoenlignefrance.eu.com is once again highlighting this wonderful initiative.
A decade during which the association enabled many blind and visually impaired fans to access essential information during each Formula 1 season.
Since 2002, a magazine details circuits, teams, drivers, new regulations… concocted by Jean-Louis Moncet and Thibault Larue. The magazine is distributed free of charge on request, in Braille, audio, and large print.
For this 10th anniversary, the 2012 edition has an exceptional character. The magazine is accompanied by an original creation imagined by and for blind and visually impaired people: the circuit guide.
A unique document consisting of 20 bound sheets (A3+ format) where each circuit has been revisited to be simplified, enlarged, contrasted, and embossed.
A visual and tactile rendering accessible to everyone, supplemented by essential indicators for interpretation: departure, direction of traffic, turns… Each visual information is reproduced in braille and relief using a specific process (application of transparent resin).
This special 2012 edition is supported by Total and sponsored by Jean-Louis Moncet and Romain Grosjean. The covers were designed by a young Irish designer passionate about F1: PJ Tierney.
On handicapzero.org, Formula 1 season 2012 section: the results (podium, driver and team standings) are available online after each Grand Prix.
