Bahrain: Ask for the TV program!
This weekend, it's already time for the fourth race of the 2012 F1 season. After Australia, Malaysia, and China, Formula 1 moves to the Kingdom of Bahrain, under high tension. Free Practice, Qualifying, and Race will be broadcast on television, and to ensure you don't miss your TV appointments in France, Belgium, and Switzerland, here is the recap of the TV program for the 2012 Bahrain F1 Grand Prix.
Many of you have heard about the incidents currently taking place in Bahrain. Many of you involved in F1 do not understand the teams’ decisions to go to the Kingdom of Bahrain. But you are passionate about Formula 1. Therefore, because we know it is difficult to miss a Grand Prix, enjoy this summary of the schedules and TV program for the 2012 Bahrain Grand Prix.
TF1 and Eurosport will share the broadcast of the Chinese Grand Prix. As usual for Grand Prix outside Europe, Eurosport will broadcast the free practice sessions on Friday and Saturday as well as the qualifying sessions, while TF1 will broadcast the early morning race live.
For those who do not have cable or satellite, new ways are available to watch the qualifying session on Eurosport. Indeed, for the past three years, Eurosport has been offering a monthly or annual subscription to its Internet Player. This allows you to watch all the Grand Prix sessions (including free practice) for less than €5/month. Additionally, in recent weeks, some regions can choose to subscribe to Eurosport via TNT or their ADSL TV package for a few extra euros on their Internet bill.
Despite a slight time difference, the Grand Prix is scheduled for 2 PM in France. As with the first three races, TF1 will offer a quarter-hour presentation of the circuit shortly before the start, with Yann Hovine replacing Denis Brogniart until the European races begin. Christophe Malbranque, Jacques Laffite, and Jean-Louis Moncet will be in the commentators’ booth.
Note: Since the publication of this article, TF1 has announced that its team will not be traveling to Bahrain. Christophe Malbranque, Jacques Laffite, and Jean-Louis Moncet will therefore be in the TF1 studios in Boulogne-Billancourt.

The Bahrain GP Radio
You can also follow the Bahrain Grand Prix, raced on the Sakhir circuit—if you don’t have a television or are on the move—by listening to it on the radio. The frequencies naturally depend on where you live, and several radio stations will broadcast the Grand Prix live. The times are therefore the same as those presented in the Live. RMC will broadcast the race and the qualifying sessions with the show Intégrale F1, commented by Patrick Tambay and Jean-Luc Roy.
Quebec fans will be able to follow the Bahrain Grand Prix on RDS2, alongside Pierre Houde, Bertrand Houle, and Christian Tortora. The qualifiers will be broadcast starting at 3:30 a.m. on Saturday morning. RDS2 will go on air to cover the Grand Prix starting at 4:30 a.m. on Sunday morning, while the race will also be rebroadcast at 2:50 p.m. on Monday.
