Monaco: Ask for the TV schedule!

Two weeks after the Spanish Grand Prix, which saw the unexpected victory of a Williams-Renault and Pastor Maldonado, the Formula One Circus heads to the Principality of Monaco.

Legendary Grand Prix, Monaco stands out for its array of stars, its marketing events, but primarily for its unique schedule. Indeed, in Monaco, Free Practice sessions are held on Thursday, whereas they are usually run on the Friday before the Grand Prix. Therefore, tomorrow morning at 10 a.m., Eurosport will broadcast FP1, followed in the afternoon by FP2, both aired on TF1 group’s pay channel. Monaco, historically held during the Ascension holiday weekend, has taken advantage of the opportunity to attract tourists and motorsport fans one day more than at other F1 events, thus bringing more revenue to the municipality.

TF1 and Eurosport share the broadcast of the 2012 Monaco Grand Prix. Eurosport will air the Free Practice 3 and qualifying on Saturday, as usual, while TF1 will take over on Sunday to broadcast the pre-race and the race. Marion Jollès is expected to handle the grid interviews with Denis Brogniart, who has just returned from filming the latest Koh Lanta. Christophe Malbranque, Jacques Laffite, and Jean-Louis Moncet will be in the commentator’s booth.

The Monaco GP on the Radio

You can also follow the Monaco Grand Prix, raced through the narrow streets of the principality – if you don’t have a television or if you’re on the go – by listening to it on the Radio. Frequencies naturally depend on your place of residence, and several radio stations will broadcast the Grand Prix live. The times are therefore the same as those presented in the Live or on the program above. RMC will broadcast the race and the qualifications with the program Intégrale F1, commented by Patrick Tambay and Jean-Luc Roy. RTL will also broadcast the race.
