PaucoPlast strengthens at Sauber
After forty years as a mere supplier, PaucoPlast has decided to increase its visibility by becoming a technical partner of Sauber.
The partnership between PaucoPlast and Sauber will strengthen. The relationship between the two Swiss companies dates back a long time, as their first collaboration was in 1973! At the time, Sauber was far from F1, as the young team was focused on building endurance sports prototypes. Since then, the Hinwil-based structure has evolved considerably, but its relationship with PaucoPlast has never weakened.
Until now, PaucoPlast was merely supplying carbon fiber parts. Its new role as a technical partner means the relationship will be further developed, and PaucoPlast will be more involved in the design of Sauber’s racing cars. This will be reflected by the (modest) appearance of its logo on the racing cars of Nico Hülkenberg and Esteban Gutiérrez. It will be placed on the lower part of the sidepods.
Monisha Kaltenborn, the CEO of the team, thus highlights the links between the two Zurich companies: “We have been working very closely with PaucoPlast for many years now. For us, PaucoPlast represents the guarantee of quality production and delivery reliability when it comes to complex carbon fiber parts, such as the floor, brake ducts, and bodywork elements. The geographical proximity of the two companies also helps us in our partnership. I am delighted that we are further increasing our cooperation.”
