Thursday: A constructive day for Williams
In Monaco, the data accumulated on Thursday during free practice is not a problem. It can be calmly analyzed on Friday before resuming practice on Saturday. Thus, Williams was able to gather interesting data and believes they can make good progress in preparation for the qualifications.
Pastor Maldonado – 6th and 14th:
« It’s one of my favorite circuits on the F1 calendar. It’s always nice to drive here. The tests were productive, and we felt progress throughout the day. The settings for the two sessions were different, and the settings in FP1 seemed better. We will analyze all of this tonight and tomorrow and choose the best setup for the rest of the weekend. »
Valtteri Bottas – 17th and 18th:
The track in Monaco is very difficult, but it’s a pleasure to drive here. I’m learning more and more with each lap, and I feel like I’m gaining more and more speed this first time. We’ve gathered a lot of data, and I hope this will help us find the right balance on the car. We’ll have time to analyze everything and we can make good progress before the qualifiers on Saturday.
