Varlion will dress Sahara Force India starting in 2014
Sahara Force India is beginning to capitalize on its good start to the season by attracting new partners. The Spanish clothing brand Varlion will supply the team's clothing starting in 2014.
Until now, the Silverstone team relied on the financial support of its co-owners, Vijay Mallya’s group and Sahara. As they are facing financial difficulties in India, the team must find new sources of income. This materialized at the start of the season with the arrival of TW Steel. Today, it’s a new clothing line developed with the Spanish brand, Varlion.
This multi-year agreement will not take full effect until next season, but the team is taking advantage of its home race at Silverstone to make the announcement. This will allow Varlion to be present on the cars of Paul di Resta and Adrian Sutil throughout the weekend, before becoming permanently present from the 2014 season onwards.
The collaboration between the two companies will materialize through an immediate commercial aspect as Varlion will develop a clothing brand aimed at the general public, which will be sold through the team’s new commercial site. This will allow the team to offer products in its colors to its main markets: Great Britain and India.
It’s a strategy that the team plans to capitalize on in the coming years as it took advantage of the English weekend to also announce the immediate launch of a range of watches under its name, with its partner in the field, TW Steel.
