Dom Pérignon will make Williams sparkle at Silverstone
Williams celebrates its 600th Grand Prix in front of its home crowd at Silverstone. To mark the event, the team partnered with Dom Pérignon for an exclusive tasting in the paddock.
Reaching such a number of events for a 100% independent entity is a remarkable achievement and should therefore be celebrated accordingly. That is why Williams partnered with one of the most iconic champagne brands to create an extraordinary event.
If it is known that champagne flows in abundance in the very exclusive Paddock Club, Williams will organize a unique tasting on Saturday evening for handpicked VIPs: vintages corresponding to significant years for the team will be tasted and commented on by the creator of the brand’s vintages, Richard Geoffrey.
He commented: « Williams and Dom Pérignon share a rich and prestigious history. We always strive to push the boundaries to achieve excellence, and it is fitting that we mark this essential milestone with Williams to enhance what should be a very festive weekend for the team. »
On this occasion, the team called upon a number of its world champions to show that it hasn’t always been the team that hasn’t scored a single point since the beginning of the season… As for the champagne brand, it’s a very successful communication operation since the official champagne of F1 is Mumm, which belongs to the Pernod Ricard group. This operation allows the LVMH group, owner of Dom Pérignon, to showcase itself during an exclusive event, which perfectly aligns with its marketing positioning, especially for its vintages.
