Williams will benefit from ShoreTel technology
Communication technologies are increasingly at the heart of concerns for F1 teams, who visit around twenty countries a year. Williams has therefore announced its alliance with ShoreTel.
After Mercedes and Tata Communications, then Caterham and Truphone, Williams is the third team to announce an alliance in this sector this year. As was the case with these previous agreements, this association includes the integration of communication tools between the circuits and the Grove factory, as well as with the Williams Technology Center, which is located in Qatar.
Adrian Hipkiss, the vice president of the operator for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, stated: « This exciting new partnership with the Williams F1 Team establishes ShoreTel at the forefront of technology in an increasingly international market. We are partnering with a company that shares our forward-thinking vision and seeks to deliver top-tier technology. This new partnership allows us to showcase our renowned telephony solutions with one of the leading engineering companies, whose daily operations, both at the factory and during the 19 races around the world, rely on simple and unified communications. »
Since it is a technology agreement and a “simple” supplier, the logo of the company listed on the Nasdaq will not appear on Pastor Maldonado’s and Valtteri Bottas’s single-seaters. However, it will be visible alongside other suppliers on various communication platforms such as the motorhome, trucks, and the team’s pit stand.
