Sunday: First white weekend in seven races for Force India
After a great series of seven races in the points for the Indian team, they leave the Nürburgring with a blank score: Paul Di Resta finishes at the edge of the points (11th) and Adrian Sutil 13th.
Paul Di Resta – 11th:
« It wasn’t the easiest weekend for us, but we seemed to be in the fight for points at the end of the race. In the last laps, we were really on the limit in terms of tire wear, but that’s always the risk with a two-stop strategy, especially since we had to stop during the Safety Car [Editor’s note: deployed following Jules Bianchi’s retirement]. There were moments in the race when the car was good, but I really struggled with the first set of medium tires [Editor’s note: fitted during the first stop] and wasn’t happy with the balance. Things improved a bit during the last stint, but by then we had no chance of getting into the points. It’s really frustrating to miss the points, so we need to rediscover our potential and get back to our usual level for Hungary. »
Adrian Sutil – 13th:
« It turned out to be a disappointing race, and for whatever reason, we weren’t fast enough this weekend. I struggled a lot with the tires, and I had to switch from a two-stop strategy to a three-stop strategy, which was not planned. I also lost time in the last stop, and after that, the points were too far away. »
