Friday: Red Bull confirms its good form
After winning the German Grand Prix, Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber confirmed the good form of Red Bull, taking the top two spots on the leaderboard during the first two practice sessions.
Sebastian Vettel – 1st and 1st: « The car seems good, but there is always a lot of work to do and improvements still to be made. My long stint wasn’t completely clean because we had to cut it short at the start due to the brakes being a bit hot, but we’re working to find the limit. I don’t think the tires are really different, but it’s a step in the right direction. »
Mark Webber – 2nd and 2nd: « The tires seem relatively similar to those used previously; we already had a feel for it thanks to Silverstone. It went well today and I am happy, the car seems good and the team did a good job. Sunday is the most important; qualifying is important, but Sunday is what we need to focus on. It’s a demanding circuit and the conditions are expected to remain the same, so I don’t think we will change a lot of things tonight. »
