A-Gas expands its presence at Marussia
If Marussia heavily emphasizes its Russian aspect, it doesn't neglect its British side either: A-Gas, a UK-based company, has just expanded its presence within the Anglo-Russian team.
The British company has decided to expand its presence on the single-seaters of Jules Bianchi and Max Chilton during certain events to align with its geographical locations, which range from Australia to Southeast Asia to the United States, a geographical area particularly targeted by F1 currently.
Andy Webb, the CEO of Marussia, takes the opportunity to use it as a sales argument aimed at other prospective companies: « It is always very rewarding to renew and extend relationships with our partners, for whom our partnership translates into real commercial benefits. By working with A-Gas to offer them a tailored solution to meet their key areas, we are also able to prove our approach, which highlights the individual nature of our partners and their needs. »
Nevertheless, what the businessman does not specify is that the company’s entry into the partner portfolio is not entirely coincidental. Indeed, this took place at a time when both companies were part of the holdings owned by Lloyds’ investment fund, LDC. However, this announcement is the first since the announcement of the sale of the stake in the British fund’s team, which took place last April, indicating that the ties are not completely severed.
Marussia is therefore using this agreement to demonstrate its ability to renew business deals, which could reassure other companies and lead to new signings in the coming weeks.
