Friday: Force India Makes a Triumphant Return
After having a difficult adaptation period with the new Pirelli tires, Force India returned from the summer break with a better understanding of the Italian tires and will therefore attempt to get back into the top ten.
Adrian Sutil – 3rd and 11th:
« It was an interesting day because I got back in the car for the first time in almost a month. We were close to the best times this morning during the wet session, but I had a few balance issues to resolve with the car so we made some adjustments for this afternoon. When the sun came back, the track conditions were very different, so we tried different levels of downforce and decided to choose the best approach for tomorrow. For the last laps of the afternoon, we made some progress and brought the car closer to the performance we wanted. »
Paul di Resta – 2nd and 10th:
The conditions were mixed this morning, but it was much better this afternoon. It’s clear that we have made a big step forward compared to Budapest and we still think the car could be better suited to this track. Currently, it seems like we’re on for the top ten, but we need a bit more speed for qualifying. We know that rain might be present tomorrow, so we have to be ready to maximize the conditions.
