Friday: Williams drivers hope to outsmart the traps of Singapore

As Valtteri Bottas discovered the Singapore circuit at the wheel of a Formula 1, the Finn expects a complicated qualifying session. Pastor Maldonado, after hitting the wall, wants to improve the balance of his car despite a lack of pace that won't help the Williams drivers score the team's second point of the year.

Friday: Williams drivers hope to outsmart the traps of Singapore

Valtteri Bottas: 13th and 17th: « I didn’t have major issues learning the circuit and I really enjoy driving on it. It’s still a tricky circuit, putting everything together in one lap will be a big challenge to qualify tomorrow. As for the pace we have, particularly in free practice 2, there’s still work to be done and we need to work hard tonight to improve for tomorrow. »

Pastor Maldonado: 11th and 18th: « We completed our planned stints for today but we still don’t have the pace in the car. We need to try to improve in all areas this weekend and it’s going to be quite difficult with the heat. We need to address some car balance issues in order to have a good race.
