Charles Pic receives a reprimand from the track stewards in Korea

Charles Pic is the 10th driver this year to receive a reprimand from the FIA – Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile. The French driver apparently did not see the red light during Free Practice 2 of the South Korean Grand Prix, which indicated that he had to go to the weighbridge at the end of the session. (Editor’s note: FIA control).

The Caterham driver violated Article 26 of the sporting regulations /f1/news/16242-10-place-penalty-on-the-grid-for-webber-in-south-korea.html. He therefore received a reprimand.

This weekend, the chief race steward is Emanuele Pirro, former Benetton driver and five-time winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

The FIA statement explains that the driver did not present himself at the FIA garage for weighing despite being asked to do so. He admitted to having seen the red light instructing him to stop. However, he thought the message was intended for the car behind him.

The regulation states that after three reprimands, the driver receives a 10-place grid penalty. Penalty received by Mark Webber two weeks ago after his rodeo taxi on Alonso’s Ferrari.

Regarding Charles Pic, this is his second reprimand. The first was during the free practice at the Belgian Grand Prix.
