Friday: Balance issues for Force India
The Sahara Force India drivers did not really show their advantage today at Suzuka, and for good reason: Adrian Sutil and Paul di Resta both suffered from a lack of balance with their VJM06. However, both men believe they can do better by tomorrow and the qualifying session.
Adrian Sutil – 14th and 15th:
I love this circuit, but today the car was not easy to drive. I suffered from understeer this morning and oversteer this afternoon, and it’s difficult to find a balance I’m comfortable with. We need to try to solve these problems tonight so that I feel confident for the qualifications.
Paul Di Resta – 17th and 14th:
The car was quite difficult to drive today, but we worked hard to try to optimize the balance. After each stint, we changed several things and I think we learned a lot as a result. The consistency on long stints seems pretty good, but we need to make sure we can perform well with both the medium and hard tires.
