Saturday: Sutil downcast, di Resta confident at Force India

Following his accident this morning, Adrian Sutil didn't approach the qualifications in the best way and was eliminated in Q1, and after his gearbox change, he received a five-place penalty. He will start 22nd and last, complicating his race. Paul di Resta, on the other hand, managed to stand out by qualifying in 12th place and the Scot hopes to score some points.

Saturday: Sutil downcast, di Resta confident at Force India

Paul Di Resta – 15th and 12th:

« Considering where we started yesterday, I think we can be happy with this 12th place. Slowly but surely, we made the car more drivable and in qualifying, it seemed good. The efforts overnight from everyone here and at the factory helped fit the car to this circuit. Compared to yesterday, the car seems much more stable and predictable, and this allowed us to miss Q3 by only a tenth. I feel optimistic for the race because our long stints have been good and we are well-positioned for points with a free choice for tire strategy. »

Adrian Sutil – 18th and 17th [22nd on the grid]:

« It hasn’t been an easy day. I made a mistake this morning, damaging the car, and we had to change the gearbox. I must say a big thank you to the team for getting the car ready in time for qualifying because they had a lot of work to do during the lunch break. In Q1, the car was quite difficult to drive, I wasn’t comfortable, and I lacked grip to be competitive. All I can do is look ahead to the race and hope for a better day. With the penalty [for the gearbox change], I will start even further back. So, I will try to be consistent in the race and hopefully I can climb back towards the points. »
