Kvyat obtained his super license

Daniil Kvyat will drive for the Toro Rosso team in 2014, and to prepare for this new F1 adventure, the Russian driver conducted tests at the wheel of a STR6 dating back two years last Friday on the Italian circuit of Misano.

This notably allowed him to acclimate to the performance level of an F1 and obtain the super license, necessary to drive a Formula 1 car during an official event.

Kvyat covered approximately 402 kilometers at the wheel of this single-seater following his GP3 title win in Abu Dhabi. The 19-year-old will continue his F1 training by driving on Friday in Austin during Free Practice 1, replacing Jean-Eric Vergne, as well as during Free Practice 1 in Interlagos, replacing Daniel Ricciardo – whom he will replace next season.
