Saturday: Bottas clearly outperforms Maldonado at Williams
Valtteri Bottas once again managed to make it to Q3. He finished 9th while Pastor Maldonado was hindered in Q1 and couldn't get his tires to work properly. He will therefore start from the 18th place.

I really enjoyed today and I am happy with this performance. To be honest, I was hoping for a bit better in Q3 because we were very competitive in Q1 and Q2. I’m very happy for the team: they all did a great job and improved the car a lot between practice and qualifying. We are in a good position for tomorrow and we need to take advantage of it to score some points in the race.

« We struggled this weekend and today showed it. The car wasn’t behaving well in terms of tire pressure or temperatures. So we need to analyze that more closely. We were held up a bit in traffic, which prevented us from going to Q2. We still have to do our best in tomorrow’s race. »
