Williams: Bottas leads the way in Jerez
The Williams F1 team has confirmed its presence for the first private testing session of the 2014 season, which will take place in Jerez de la Frontera. Bottas will have the privilege of being the first to test the FW36.
After announcing the successful start of the Mercedes V6 engine that will power the FW36, the Williams team confirmed that it will indeed be present in Jerez de la Frontera with its single-seater.
The FW36 will be entrusted to Valtteri Bottas for the first two days – Tuesday 28th and Wednesday 29th. The Finn will then hand over to his new teammate, Brazilian Felipe Massa, for the following two days – Thursday 30th and Friday 31st January.
For the moment, the Grove team has not yet revealed the exact date for the presentation of its car, but it is likely to be just before the start of testing on Tuesday morning – like Red Bull, Mercedes, and Caterham, the day before like Toro Rosso, or during the weekend preceding the tests, like Sauber and Ferrari.
