Amicable settlement between Anthony Hamilton and Paul di Resta
After a year and a half of legal proceedings, Anthony Hamilton and Paul di Resta have decided to find an amicable solution outside of the British courts.
In July 2012, Paul di Resta decided to part ways with his agent, Anthony Hamilton, Lewis’s father. The main reason for this split was a potential sponsorship for the Scottish driver by an energy drink brand. Paul di Resta felt that his agent was not working in his best interests and chose to team up with Jenson Button’s agent instead.

The two parties have now decided to put an end to the costs and have found an amicable solution. Paul di Resta will now be able to focus on his new season in DTM, a championship he won in 2010. It will be interesting to watch how he evolves within the Mercedes structure as his years of experience in F1 could be valued within the Brackley team. He could therefore obtain a position as a third driver. Especially since there will no longer be an open conflict between Anthony Hamilton, who has also reconciled with his son…
