Saturday: McLaren adrift with Button and Magnussen stopped in Q2

Jenson Button (n°22) – 9th and 12th

Like many other drivers, the Englishman had difficulty getting his tires up to temperature.

« In the race, we will run on a “green” track because of today’s rain, so we’ll have to make do with what we have. I really hope it will be dry tomorrow because I think we can have a fun race in the dry. »

Kevin Magnussen (No. 20) – no time and 15th

The Danish rookie’s car is experiencing grip problems. He hoped for better: « I’m quite disappointed to qualify in 15th position, it’s not great. We will look into what happened, I think we are better than 15th. Anyway, we’re not fast enough. We will see what we can do tomorrow. »
