Sebastian Vettel will not participate in the second free practice session
Stopped after only four laps during the first practice session, Sebastian Vettel must forgo the second session to repair his car.
Arriving in Barcelona with a new chassis to make up for the performance deficit at the start of the season, Sebastian Vettel isn’t having the weekend he dreamed of: after only four laps, he was forced to park on the side of the track. The reason? An electrical problem, which cannot be quickly repaired.
The team has therefore decided to completely skip the afternoon session to focus as much as possible on tomorrow’s day: « The team will use this time to repair it to be ready for the third practice session tomorrow morning. »
Red Bull will therefore have to rely on the data collected by Daniel Ricciardo to try to find the tenths it is still missing compared to Mercedes.
