Scott will supply its products to Red Bull

Images of mechanics watching the Grand Prix from the pits have been widespread for many years. This is therefore a good opportunity for helmet suppliers to gain exposure. This is what Scott is doing through its new partnership with Red Bull.

Scott will supply its products to Red Bull

This is not the first time a helmet supplier has officially partnered with an F1 team to equip its mechanics. Ruroc has partnered with Caterham since the 2011 season.

The planned agreement between Red Bull and Scott, a Swiss supplier, stipulates that the latter will provide all the helmets and protective goggles worn by the team’s mechanics. Pascal Ducrot, the vice-president responsible for sports at Scott, stated: « Racing is in our blood, whether on motorcycles or by muscle power. We share the same passion. That’s why we are super excited to partner with Infiniti Red Bull Racing and supply our products to the most obvious F1 team. »

However, the two partners have also planned to extend their association to other sectors. They have thus planned to collaborate on carbon fiber technologies and aerodynamics, two essential sectors for both parties.

Similarly, all staff of the world champion team will also be able to benefit from the bikes developed by Scott, which is the supplier for many Tour de France teams. These bikes in the team’s colors will thus be available for track laps. Christian Horner, the team’s director, commented on this agreement: « The bikes and training equipment in the team’s colors will be valuable tools to ensure that the racing team is in the best physical condition on the track. »
